Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Opinion on date please
« on: Wednesday 13 April 11 22:33 BST (UK)  »
The gentleman in this photo appears to be wearing a railway worker's uniform.

The most likely candidate is an ancestor who died in Holyhead in 1898 at the age of 45 yrs and at the time of his death was described as a Railway Goods Porter.

Please could the experts give their opinion as to the approx date of this picture to confirm whether the above facts would fit.

Regards - Margaret.

This is the only photo that we have of my father-in-law and was taken in 1957 just before he died - please could this be restored and tidied up. Is it possible to remove the remnants of other people either side of him?
Many thanks - Margaret

« on: Tuesday 15 January 08 21:51 GMT (UK)  »
If anyone has access to the Treuddyn PRs I should be grateful for info regarding Edward Griffith(s) born around 1788 to 1794.  If there is a record of baptism I may be able to find his parents names.
Thanks - Margaret

Oxfordshire Lookup Requests / Newitt ( or Newett)
« on: Wednesday 24 October 07 20:22 BST (UK)  »
I have an ancestor James Newitt (Newett) born in Oxfordshire in 1787 according to the Census records of 1851 and 1861 when he was resident in Northampton.

I am trying to find which parish he could have been baptised in - and hopefully his parents names.

I know there were a lot of Newitts in the Thame area and also Duns Tew. If anyone could check these Parish Registers I should be very grateful.

Shropshire / Marriage Look Up - Millichap & Price
« on: Thursday 01 March 07 20:24 GMT (UK)  »
I have an Edward Price (b. ca 1793) in my tree, living in N.Wales. I believe he was married to a Maria Millichap and a daughter, Mary, was born in Gwaenysgor, in 1811.
I can find no trace of Maria Millichap being born or married in N.Wales but I have seen one possibility - a Mary Maria Millichap was born in the Kenley/Sheinton area in 1790.
Could anyone please look-up the Marriage records for this area on the off-chance that there is a record of her marriage to Edward Price/Prys/Pryce.
Many thanks.

I have a reference for a James Newitt b. OXF on the 1851 Census, Age 64 on Page 1m17. I should be grateful for a look-up regarding any other  members of his family on this census and on the 1841 Census if possible. Many Thanks.
