Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / ---- ? Rogers.
« on: Saturday 09 May 20 22:40 BST (UK)  »
Hi all,
Please can anyone help to read the forename of Mr Rogers mentioned in the Probate of this Will.
It looks to be a Latin abbreviation.
                                                     Thanks,
                                                        Pete.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Eccles marriage 1806
« on: Tuesday 07 March 17 20:45 GMT (UK)  »
Hi there,
Please would someone be kind enough to look up the marriage of John Swallow and Mary Marsden who married at St Mary the Virgin, Eccles on 27 April 1806. I need to compare Johns signature to that on the entry for what I believe is his second marriage in 1840 so an image would be required.
                                               Many thanks,
                                                        Pete.

« on: Monday 31 October 16 10:12 GMT (UK)  »
Hi There,
Please would someone with access to Devon record office be kind enough to look up some card index references relating to my ancestors Bartholomew and Prudence Towill who lived in Kenn during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. I found the references during a brief visit to the record office in 1995 but didn't have time to find out the type of document they relate to or any detail.
1. Bartholomew Towill of Kenn 1790. 63/2/1/1/525 a-b
2. Bartholomew Towill Yeoman 1795. 63/2/1/1/835 a-b
3. Bartholomew Towill of Kenn c.1802. 63/2/1/1/836
4. Prudence Towill 1805. 63/2/1/1/526
I live in Melton Mowbray, Leics. and am able to do research into the town and local area. If this would be of help to anyone please let me know.
                                                                     Thanks,
                                                                       Pete.
