Hi Ireland,  hope someone will be able to help.  Looking for a website where l can find some information on Grandmother and her family.  All l know is her name was Esther Grattan,  she married John McCauley  in Ireland .  They had two sons , James and William.  They came to Scotland in the 30's where John worked in the shipyards.              I can only get Death Cert...from Scotlandspeople,  which doesn't help me.   Thank you  xx

Hi! Rootschat Freinds.
Trying to find the best way of finding someone in Melbourne  Australia.  My lovely husband has just found out that he may well have a half sister who lives in Melbourne.  Poor wee soul,   he can't get his old head round it ....I'm so excited!!.  We are a pair of oldies ...drifting in retirement. What a surprise!! All we know is that my husband's father left Paisley in 1958/early 60's for a new life in Australia..and was never heard of again. Her name is (*)...and thats all we know. She might not know it but... she has 3 half brothers.  All grey headed but lovely guy's.
Hope someone can point me in the right direction!

Hi! Rootschat Friends in Melbourne.....Been to your Wonderful Country a few times ..I just love It.
I'm a Scottish Lady born in Stirling many moons ago.   The reason why I'm posting is....my husband has just found out that he has half siblings in Melbourne.  He can't take it in...I'm so excited.
His father Hugh Muir Jackson..left Paisley ..way back in 59 early 60's..to go to Australia and was never seen again.  We have since learned that he seems to have settled in Melbourne and had a daughter called (*).  What would be the best way to trying to find any news on the daughter.  She  now has 3 half brothers!!!  Hoping someone can point us in the right direction... and  it  all turn out OK for everyone .

Hi Everyone, Looking for information on my Gt Grandfather Frank Mahon ,don't know much about him.  From what I can gather  he came from Ireland... its a big country...just don't know what county  to start looking.  He at one time.. around 1882/83  worked as a miner in the Ironstone mines in Carscadden, Scotland I have guessed that he would maybe be 20-30Years old then.
I cant find any trace of him in Scotland.
If anyone out there could point me in the right direction, that would be wonderful.

Hi Everyone over there in Antrim,

Attempting my family Tree, can you help.?
Does anyone remember the Wrights from around there.
Alexander was head of the family, my father was his son  Alexander he had 5 brothers and 4/5 sisters.
Ive been told the names Tom,James,John.Hugh,Robert, Sarah, Isobel,Rachael,Elizabeth and one
drowned as a young child. Grandfather Alexander went over to Scotland late 1800s,met my Grandmother in Alexandria Dumbartonshire...but then moved back to Ireland , where my father was born. It seems more difficult to trace after that.
