They immigrated out on the ship Echunga in 1862 which landed in Timaru then Lyttleton and farmed in Albury/ Geraldine area, the area of Sutherlands was named after Alexander. I believe they had six children but only have five names so far Ann b1861 died on voyage out, Jessie b1860, Mary b1863, John b.1865, Isabella. Would like to find the other brother.

Hi All
Wondered if anyone has come across Harry Thomas MESSER b1871  who married Flora Emily BALLS in 1897 Suffolk. Believe his parents were Albert and Hannah who according to census had five other children - Alice, Alfred, Albert, Cordelia, Hannah.
Not sure if they lived in St Albans or Harpenden or Wheathampstead. Have seen a page by a Val MESSER about the Messer of Wheathampstead but no match maybe.
Thanks

« on: Thursday 16 September 10 01:59 BST (UK)  »
Hi all,
Trying to trace Samuel WILLIS 1816-1845 marrying Eliza LALHINORY 1806-1883 lived in Hertfordshire. They had a only child John James WILLIS 1842-1908 lived in Harpenden. Hert. a lay preacher who worked at Rothamstead Institute.
Think maybe LALHINORY is a strange name and it might be LATTERMORE instead. Taken from family bible.
Any help so appreciatd
