Born 8 Oct 1737. Durness. Charity Schoolmaster. Documented as died in 1829 in Strathhalladale at an advanced age after a few days illness. He was a prominent person in Sutherland. Married first to Janet MacKay, then to Grizel Ross. Why can’t I find his death? Can anyone help please.

William was a Charity Schoolmaster in Eribol in 30.11.1776. The William Calder I am trying to confirm as my Gx5 G/father married Grissel Ross in Durness 7.4.1786. However on his son Hugh's death certificate William was stated to be a farmer.
Does anyone have any information to ascertain that he was in fact a farmer and charity schoolmaster?
