The Common Room / Site Information - Mill Bank, Liverpool

Hi all, I'm a newbie so be gentle with me!! 
I am really interested to know what the history of the site that currently has the Stag & Rainbow Pub and Premier Inn Hotel on it?
I know that the general area has a long and presitigious history centering around West Derby but would really like to know what was on the corner of what is now Queens Drive and Mill Bank. I'm interested in its recent past (i.e., the last (20 - 100 years)
I suspect there may be a milling connection given it is near to both Mill Bank and Mill Lane and on the opposite corner is "The Jolly Miller" Pub.
Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!
