I was also hoping somebody out their with access to parish records may be able to find first, the birth of my Barbara Miller, I know she married George Herd and he as born in 1702 in Leslie, Fife. And that she had her first child in 1728 also in Leslie. I know this does not mean she was also born in that village and may well have been born in a village near by.

I appreciate this is fairly vague and I am clutching at straws but if anyone can help it would be well appreciated.

Then there is also the matter of her death, as her last child was born in 1736 in Leslie, and then no more of her by then Barbara Herd. I do have a record of George Herd marrying a Janet Dalrumple in 1737 in Leslie and then having 4 children with her.

We have checked deaths in Leslie between 1736 and 1737 but none for her. Was wondering if there was any record around of her burial in this time period anywhere else

Was hoping someone if some had access to the following parish records

I am after the parents of William Herd born 28 July 1760 in Kinglassie, Auchterderran Fifeshire

I have an inkling his father was also a William but from another source I have heard the name George mentioned.

If someone does have access to these parish records it would be so greatly appreciated and break down the next wall

Hi there I am trying to find the parental details of David Trice born Sep Q Sheppy v5 p273 from free BMD.

Wondered if anyone out there would be kind enough to go to the local RO covering this area to check for the birth in the parish records.

Wanted to confirm if this is the same as my David Trice I have a marriage cert showing his father as William Trice and he is a Customs Officer.

If I can confirm this is one and the same David's birth I will be well happy.

Wondered if anyone can nail the birth and parents of my 3rd great grandmother.

When she married in 1870 Totnes District to Samuel Daw of Wellington, Somerset she would have be 16 or 17 as on a later census she is quoted as c1853. On the marriage she is listed as Annie Simmons Lock. They had their first child William George in 1870 as well and he was born in Cornworthy, Devon.

I have found the following possible birth

Anne Lock Dec Q Totnes District 5b 167 but am not 100% sure.

Just wondered if their was anyone living near the RO for Devon in Exeter, who would be kind enough to check Samuel and Annie's wedding details to find Anne or Annie's fathers name.

And then to cross reference it with Anne Lock's birth to see if they are one and the same.

Shotgun wedding's who needs them lol when trying to find those old rellies.

At least they stayed together and had a further 8 children, the next being my great grandad Samuel Richard Dawe.

Hi I have the marriage of my 1st coz 5 times removed Harriet Daw. Born 1815 in Wellington as

to James Slocombe 26/10/1835

But on the 1861 census I cant find them. I can find Benjamin Stone (Taunton) 1817
Harriet (Wellington) 1813
and 6 kids I have followed 2 of the sons and the names they use for their children include Harriets parents George (My 4* G Grandfather) and his wife Mary Ann plus some of the names used also include Harriets 13 siblings names.


So what I need to find is the marriage of Benjamin Stone to Harriet to check her surname.

First child born 1842.
