Cork / Cobh to New York sailing 1958
« on: Friday 29 October 21 10:13 BST (UK)  »
Hoping you guys can help me out.

Mary Keane Sears (originally from Belmullet Mayo) sailed from Cobh on 18th October 1958 and arrived in New York on 25th October 1958.

Does anyone know how I would go about finding what ship she was on?

Hi all,

Everyone did such a great Job of restoring a photo of this gentleman last week, I thought I'd ask for another to be done. This is my grandfather-in-law. This is a day in the 50s outside a pharmacy in County Limerick on a very snowy day.

I would be very grateful if someone could try to restore this.

Thanks,

David

This is my mother in law's father, Mossie O'Connor. She always loved this photo because it's the only one she has of her Dad at his place of work.

I would love to see this restored.

Thanks,

David

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Please restore these 3 soldiers
« on: Tuesday 18 February 14 21:47 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

I have recently acquired an old family photo album and I am scanning each photo individually. I am trying to get the best photos into a new album as a gift for my mother in law.

The picture here of 3 soldiers is one that I would love to have restored. I don't have any names yet, but I'm hoping to get some soon.

I don't know whether it was wartime or not at the time of the photo.

Thanks,

David

There may be no hope for this one, but I said I'd give it a try! Would someone be able to have a go at restoring this old photo for me?

Thanks,

David

Tipperary / Ancestor missing from 1911 Census
« on: Friday 03 May 13 14:08 BST (UK)  »
I can't find my great great grandmother, Anne Haskett (nee Ryan) in the 1911 Census. She appears in the 1901, living in Cullenagh, Ballina, Tipperary. Her son Martin had emmigrated to the US by 1911. Her son David lived between Clare and Tipperary in 1911, but I can't seem to locate him either. Someone said to check institutions, and use initials A H, as "lunatics" in asylums were only referenced by initials, but I don't believe she was in an institution.
