Herefordshire / looking for birth of Thomas Henry Walker
« on: Friday 09 September 11 21:51 BST (UK)  »
:)Hy I would appreciate any help to trace the birth of Thomas Henry Walker b-abt 1860 Hampton Bishop
Unfortunately I dont know who his parents were.         The 1901 census states he was 39 and living in Golden Grove Llandybie Carmarthenshire.        The 1911 census says hes 61 ( maybe an  error), and in 1918 his death cert says he was 58 and died in Golden Grove Llandybie    . It also states he was married to Elizabeth Louisa Silverthorn, but cannot find marriage!         I phoned Carmarthenshire Register office today and they also have no trace of marriage, but does have their first child also Thomas Henry Walker b- 1893 mothers maiden name Silverthorn born in Llandeilo. Can anyone  one help solve this one?                    kind regards Romangirl.

Carmarthenshire / Name of Estate in Golden Grove.Llandybie
« on: Wednesday 31 August 11 16:06 BST (UK)  »
:)Hy does anyone know the name of Large Estate in Golden Grove. I know that it  is unused and has been for many years, apparently it had started to be refurbished but they ran out of money. I am asking as my mother-in-laws father was a groom domestic there and I wondered if there is anyway to find out when he started working there as he came from Hampton Bishop. He was on census 1901 living in Old Toll Gate Golden Grove Llandybie. He lived there till he died in 1917.                                                          I am stuck with marriage for him, cant find one anywhere, and thought maybe this would perhaps help move me on a bit ???    Kind Regards   Romangirl
