Northumberland / John Latimer - Newcastle Historian
« on: Sunday 10 July 11 09:37 BST (UK)  »
Hi...
Can anyone help me find the birthplace of John Latimer's father?
John Latimer eventually moved to Bristol and was editor of the Bristol Mercury, previously a journalist in Newcastle where he was born in 1824.
His father, also John was born about 1781 and was living in Leazes Crescent, Newcastle in 1841 as a grocer.
I believe that he may be the brother of my 4x great-grandfather Robert Latimer, neither of them were of the County of Northumberland on the 1841 census and unfortunately both of them had died before the 1851 census.
I am hoping due to the fact that "young John" was quite eminent that someone out there may know of his fathers birthplace?
Thanks in anticipation.
Doug

Northumberland Lookup Requests / Maiden Name of Anne Patrick b1772
« on: Friday 01 July 11 11:08 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone help me find the maiden name of Anne Patrick born around 1772 who was married to William Patrick born 6 March 1766 in Bradford, Northumberland.
She died in 20 Sept 1839 at Birchwood Hall in Northumberland, I have her death cert but it does not give a maiden name.
I have checked the birth records for her children and none of them give the maiden name.
I have checked records for the Northumberland area and also the Irregular marriages and Scottish Records as I believe they were non-conformists.

Regards...Doug
