I am looking for any information on the Butlers of Whitehall House Lathaleere Baltinglass Wicklow Lathaleere Baltinglass Wicklow, looking at Griffiths it is a substantial property. I know a Thomas Butler lived there and took a number of Wicklow families to settle in South Africa around 1820, I have read through his correspondence regarding the resettlement. Griffiths makes reference to a Pierce Butler and I think there was a George and a William Butler.

Whitehall House  no longer stands, its very early days researching this line but any assistance would be gratefully received.

Looking for any information on the Butlers of Polroan below is the information currently available

In Griffiths Valuation Michael Butler had land in Polroan this later passed to his son James, Griffiths has James's neighbours as Edmond Duggan, Patrick Duggan, Thomas Croke, the Duggan's are sponsors to a number of Butler births\marriages, Thomas Croke could well be related to Michael Butlers wife Margaret Croke.

MICHAEL BUTLER was born circa 1800 at Kilkenny, Ireland. He married Margaret Croke.
Children of Michael Butler and Margaret Croke were as follows

JAMES BUTLER was born circa 1823. He married Mary Quinn circa 1847.

MATTHEW (Mathias) BUTLER was born on 1 Nov 1824 at Poulroan, Kilkenny, Ireland.

EDWARD BUTLER was born circa 1835 at Kilkenny, Ireland. He married Mary E. Crowley, daughter of Florence Crowley and Ellen Donavan, on 1 May 1855 at Church of the Immaculate Conception, St. John, St. John, New Brunswick.

Dublin / Michael Phelan Tram driver 1911
« on: Sunday 16 June 13 16:58 BST (UK)  »
Hi

I am looking for any details, other than those contained in the 1911 cencus, for Michael Phelan born Queens Co 1872 who lived at 4 Eden Terrace Dublin. His wife was Annie and they had a daughter, born in 1911, called Sheila.

In 1911 Michael was employed as a Tram driver by the Dublin United Tramways Co

Does anyone know if the old records of the Dublin United Tramways Co exsist and available

I have looked through the 1939 voters register but there are a number of Michael Phelan with wives named Annie.

Delaney, Phelan, Butler

Looking for any information on Mary Delaney born in Queens Co in about 1838
died 1929, I think her father was Martin Delaney, they lived in Farran
(Farrenglish glebe), Aghaboe where Martin was a farmer

Mary married my ggrandfather James Butler in 1872 in the church at Clogh
(Clough) I think this was a blessing that was mis-recorded as a marriage as they were “officially” married in The Pro Cathedral in Dublin the month before.

Also looking for Margaret Phelan born about 1878 she married my grandfather (Patrick Butler), I think she came from a farm near Shanboe
