I can find no parish records for Finedon for the years 1580 -on Ancestry or other searches. I am trying to search the family name Mackerness (or Makernis ) I have possibly -
Thomas 1599 – 1653 ? (Finedon) married a Mary Coles
Thomas 1558 – 1640 ? (Finedon) married Margaret -died1620?
Thomas 1524 – 1593 ? (Finedon) married Joan 1525 – 1601?
William 1494 – 1544 ? (Finedon) married Margaret
John 1460 -1515? (Finedon) married Elizabeth 1465 - 1533
but not from a documented source.

Trying to trace an Albert Brown born1836 Hull, who joined the Devon artillery Militia as a boy 1847-1851.
Wikipedia states that records were destroyed for this period. Can find no records under the 1851 census for his residence. He later married a Rachel Bailey from Burlescombe.

Yorkshire (East Riding & York) / Hessle Railway accident

I have a James Brown b 1779 who was the fatality in a railway accident on the 21.2.1847 in Hessle. The newspaper reports on the accident reported that that he was a "Crier of Hessle". I take this to mean Town Crier, but find no trace of such. Has anyone any ideas please??

I have the above named marrying a Thompson Holmes in Eye, Peterborough 5 July 1853. She states birth was Walton but can find no trace of her. Any reference to a Susanna Holmes on searches refers to Thompsons sister who married on the same date.

US Lookup Requests / Hawkins - Rappahannock York Virginia

I am trying to trace the above family line. I have a Thomas Hawkins b.1592 Rappahannock Virg. with a son Thomas who died in Rappahannock, York, Virg. in 1675. There is documented a Cpt Richard Hawkins as personel for Rappahannock 1584-1590 and also having been on the Sir Francis Drake Voyage in 1586 is he part of the family? The US Passenger & Immigrtion list 1500-1900 may help as would posssibly the Virginia Census Substitutes 1607-

The above named b 1640? married a John Stallan b 1635 Duxford in Duxford 28.10.1660. I can find several Haireman's in Duxford, Duxford St Peter, but no Elizzabeth being born there. There is a John Haireman & Elizzabeth (same spelling) in Whittlesford who had 4 children around the 1640 mark but no Elizzabeth.I think the spelling of Elizzabeth here might be a link. Any help appreciated.
