Antrim / Elizabeth (COX) DICKSON w/o John death date?
« on: Sunday 17 May 15 19:21 BST (UK)  »
Sarah "Elizabeth" (nee COX) DICKSON was b. 1884 Co Tipperary. She m. John DICKSON 30 Aug 1913 in Lisburn, Antrim. She was a nurse. John d. in Northlands,Whitehouse Park, Belfast 18 Dec 1963. I do not know where they are buried but m. says they were Church of Ireland. I do not know if she died first, but suspect she did as his will description does not mention a widow. Would like her death date and if possible cemetery info. Thank you for any help at all.

Hello!
My GGGG Grandmother Ellenora CARTER (nee MAXWELL)  went to Bristol Wells for her health and died there 24 June 1827, according to a notice in a Cork newspaper. She was the widow of Lt. John Chilton Lambton CARTER who had been posted to Cork. He d. ca 1796. They m. in Cork in 1779.

I am trying to find her parents. Would there be a church record of her burial in Bristol Hot Springs or any documentation of her death? I know this is a tough one so I'll appreciate anything at all.

James BLYTHE, wife Agnes and children Andrew 7, James 5, John Robertson 5 and Helen 1 arrived in Canada from Scotland 23 Jun 1929 on the Athenia. They settled in the Minto/Chipman area of New Brunswick. Some sources say son John Robertson was b. in Cupar 31 Aug 1925. Mother Agnes , b. ca 1901 possibly in Dundee. Her maiden name "may" be FALCONER.

I would like to confirm Agnes'  maiden name by finding their marriage and finding their parents would be a real bonus.

Channel Islands Lookup Requests / Curious about family feud - need 1851 lookup CARTER
« on: Friday 31 December 10 00:34 GMT (UK)  »
My Gr Gr Gr Grandmother Mary Augusta (McCREA) CARTER  b. 1788, Guernsey, was already wid/o Lt.Col. John Chilton Lambton CARTER II who died in 1827, when she moved from England back to Guernsey around 1851/2.
Her son wrote ""I hope my mother is comfortably housed in her own castle again - I daresay she will get on better now than ever she did -- I would write to her if I saw the least chance of her opening my letters and reading them, but that  I am sure she will never do."
He wrote this before emigrating from England to New Zealand in 1852. I deduct that Mary was not happy about it. And there went my inheritance! :)

I'd like to know who she was living with and where in the 1851 census - probably St. Peter Port.

Many thanks for any help,
Suzanne Carter
