« on: Monday 30 May 16 17:03 BST (UK)  »
Hi

A friend brought a medal and a badge for me to take to the library for identification, but thought I'd show them here as I can't seem to find what they were awarded for.

Regards,

Trini.

I found a letter in a charity shop today, and was wondering if anyone knows where I could post it to be possibly (handwriting is bad) translated.

Attaching the envelope ...

Thanks, Trini.

What are the two sticks held, and what is the contraption at the feet of the bloke in the middle of the front row?  Are the blokes with headphones on ...radio operators?  Any help appreciated :)

Hi,

I have just received this photo from a facebook source.  Is it possible to take out the scribbles and creases?  It is of my husband in the 60's and as far as I know, he hasn't seen it.....might make a good Xmas pressie :)

Thank you.

World War One / Great Uncle George b. 1898
« on: Saturday 13 August 11 21:25 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

I have a photo of my Great Uncle George b. 1898. I think he was in the NBL Fusiliers but was wondering if anyone could verify the uniform?  My Mam was told as a child that he had died in the War ( her mother was his sister, born 1906), and I'm only just starting to research.

Thank you for any help, however small, you can give me....

Regards,

Trini.

Hi,

I have found four photos in my Dad's greenhouse, obviously sun-damaged.  Here is one of them, my Great Grandma who was born in 1879:

If anyone can make it a bit clearer, I'd be very grateful.

Many thanks.

Durham Lookup Requests / Dorah Anne Wood
« on: Friday 06 August 10 19:25 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

I have a marriage cert for Dorah Anne WOOD m. Ralph BURN.  Both 'of full age' married 28th June 1855 at St Hilda's, South Shields. Parents: Ralph BURN/Ralph WOOD.  Both were of full age:(

I'm trying to find out when Dorah Anne was born and when she died, as her husband Ralph BURN remarried on 18/2/1865.

Any clues as to where to look would really be appreciated.

Cheers,

Trini.
