Hi All,

I need help with two families that might actually be one.

Edmund Lewis ROGERS married in Invercargill in 1865 to Fanny Frederica Rosina WILLIAMS born abt 1844 daughter of George and Fanny WILLIAMS. George's occupation shown as 'Army'
Fanny Frederica Rosina WILLIAMS was baptised 1849 St Marys Newington, Surrey.
I don't find a family in the 1841, 1851 or 1861 census that could definitely be this one.

A witness to the marriage of Edmund and Fanny FR was Eliza PETTINGAL.

In the 1864 Harnetts Dunedin Directory under Invercargill is a Mrs Pettingal Great North Rd.....Ladies School.
I have Eliza PETTINGAL buried in Invercargill with the ROGERS family at age 60 on 14 Nov 1871. Plot: 1/13

Fanny Frederica Rosina ROGERS (WILLIAMS) in the Wise Directory 1899 as a Professor of Dance.

I have also found a Frederica WILLIAMS buried in Invercargill common ground.

Please can anyone help me with more information about Eliza Pettingal, Frederica WILLIAMS and Fanny Frederica Rosina WILLIAMS.

I don't know when or how they got to NZ.
I'm hoping that somehow finding more info any info on them will uncover a connection and I'll then be able to unravel the family.

Please can anyone help .....  I desparately need it.

Father: JAMES RIDDALL

and

MARGARET WOOD Christening: 26 AUG 1766 Mansfield, Nottingham
Death: 02 SEP 1766
Parents: Father: PETER WOOD Mother: MARGARET

I think Margaret RIDDALL born abt 1745 married Peter WOOD from Mansfield but haven't found the marriage.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I've been chasing the WOOD family in Nottinghamshire and could find no BDM.
I recently discovered Peter WOOD hosier of Mansfield (Nottingham) married in
Halifax on 16 May 1792 to Elizabeth MEDLEY daughter of John Medley and Sara
SETTLE (married 16 Feb 1766 Halifax, Yorkshire, England.)
 
IGI has the following that could be children of the couple Peter WOOD and
Elizabeth as they fit into the right time frame I'm pretty keen that they
are:
PETER WOOD - Gender: Male Birth: 17 APR 1797 Christening: 14 MAY 1797 Welton
With Melton, Yorkshire, England
JOHN WOOD - Gender: Male Birth: 17 OCT 1795 Christening: 15 NOV 1795 Welton
With Melton, Yorkshire, England
JANE WOOD - Gender: Female Birth: 07 JUL 1793 Christening: 18 AUG 1793
Welton With Melton, Yorkshire,
ELIZABETH WOOD - Gender: Female Birth: 26 SEP 1799 Christening: 27 OCT 1799
Welton With Melton, Yorkshire,
 
Although the dates fit with Peter and Elizabeth's marriage I see from the
map that Halifax and Welton with Melton are on opposite ends of Yorkshire
and together with the fact that I haven't a mother's maiden name I'm not
sure that they are the same family.
 
Please can any-one advise how I can find out if these children are Elizabeth
Wood nee MEDLEY's
