Essex / Re: Origin of Family name DIGBY ( Digbie )
« on: Monday 30 January 12 02:23 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
I am curious as to how the Digby,s in essex got their family name.

Was it similar to Digby in Tilton?
John De tilton de Digbie, from william the conqueror ?
From a geographical location ?
Did they live near a ditch in essex?
Did they move from Tilton ?

let me know what your thoughts are
Thanks
