The Common Room / Divorces
« on: Thursday 22 January 09 17:23 GMT (UK)  »
Does anyone know if divorces are searchable on the internet in England yet?  I have someone who divorced in the early 1900s but wanted to know just when.

Hi, I know this may be an old question but can someone tell me what time of the year was the 1881 census taken as I have someone who died in March but is on the census, I was told the census was taken in April so you can see my dilemma.
Thanks

Down / 1901 census look up please?
« on: Friday 09 June 06 17:49 BST (UK)  »
Hello, I was told that there were no census for Northern Ireland but today I find differently, thanks.

I'm looking for 2 families, the Clark(e) & the Stevenson families.

David or poss Michael (he went by both) Clark(e) b.1871 in Scotland, his wife Agnes b.? & their daughter Mary b.1896 in Cunningburn.  They may still be in Cunningburn or maybe Ballyblack or Grey Abbey.

James Stevenson b.?, his wife Agnes b.?, their dau. Isabella b.1878 in Crossnamuckley, son Hamilton b.1892 in Loghriescourse & there are other children but I don't know when they were born, Elizabeth, Robert, Agnes & Charlotte.  Poss living in Ballyblack.

Hamilton Stevenson & Mary Clark were my grandparents who moved to Australia in 1921 & they never spoke of their life in Ireland so it's been difficult finding info but I have had help from the Ulster Historical Foundation.  If there are any other census for these areas I would appreciate these families looked up in 1911 too.

Thanks in advance to the kind people who might help me.

Hello, I have an ancestor who, as it says on the IGI, was born in Crossleymuckley, Co. Down.  Does, or did such a place exist, if not, any suggestions as to what it should say?

Thanks, Meredith
