Derbyshire / Eliza Martin's Children, Alfreton Derbyshire
« on: Thursday 23 November 23 05:10 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Everyone I really need help with the Children of Eliza Martin Eliza was born Eliza Robinson in Abt 1856 to James Robinson & Ann Burton In Alfreton Derbyshire she married Samuel Martin on 4 Aug 1879 they had 2/3 children Samuel James Martin 1880 & Emily Mabel Martin 1885 she can be found in 1881 & 1891 Census with parents James & Ann it looks like Samuel had died so far so good for years I had Eliza as dying in 1898 and left it at that until I found a DNA match that left me with more questions than answers I have recently found her second marriage on the 19 Sep 1891 to a James Beesley giving her Father as James Robinson this is where it gets complicated for me at least on the 1901 Census it gives the names of James & Eliza then stepson James Martin 1880, stepdaughter Mabel Martin 1886 who I assume is Emily Mabel Martin, Fred Martin 1892, Harry Martin 1894, Ethel Martin 1897, on the 1911 Census some of the children seem to have changed there name altogether it starts James & Eliza Beesley stepson Samuel James Beesley 1880, William Joseph Beesley 1892, Albert Henry Beasley 1894, Margaret E Beesley 1897 am I seeing things or have the last 3 children all changed their names.
