hello,

i wonder if some kind person could help me with this problem,  francis joseph woods was my grandfather whom i never had the privlidge to meet, i now know that he died on the 18 april 1979 in airedale general hospital,  i am aware that he had family in skipton but that is all i know.  i wonder if someone could please tell me how i could go about seeing if there was an obituary for my grandad, i have tried some things but never got anywhere and as i do not live in england i am unable to research myself,  any help would be fantastic

i wonder could some kind soul help me in any way.  unfortunately i do not live in england and searching is not so easy, i know  my grandfather died in 1979 sadly i never had the chance to meet him, however i also know that he had a second wife and family in skipton and i would dearly love to find out any info if possile. my grandfathers name was francis joseph woods and he was born in chester but settled in skipton sometime after 1944 with his second wife who i believe was called elizabeth, any info would be great i have been searching for years now with out any luck,

not sure if this is the place to request this but need some kind person to help if at all possible,

my grandfather who i never met moved to skipton and remarried and settled down there, i believe he also had a family aswell,

i am doing this for my mum who would like a photo of her dad as she is in poor health and as we live too far away to enable any searching i am trying here to see if any help can be found

the only info i have found out is that his name was francis joseph woods. was born in chester in 1905. he died in 1976 and at that time lived in sharphaw avenue in skipton, on his death cert it states his wifes name as elizabeth, if any one can help or has any ideas it would be great

after a long time searching for albert edward roberts who was born in chester in 1897 i found him on a tree in ancestry.co.uk, i emailed the person concerned to see if he could help me in any way but all he said was it was a distant relation via marriage i think, all we knew about albert was that he was sent away for some reason when a young boy and not heard of again, the information i did gain via this family tree was

albert edward roberts married a rose lydia long and he apparently died in approx 1980 and lived a 127 pinks hill in swanley kent, this is where my geography lets me down as i do not even know where to start looking, any ideas or help would be much appreicated

could anyone please tell me if there was a public house at 27 chester street mold in 1871,  on the 1871 census a woman gave her occupation as a publican.  this woman ann woods is i believe my gt gt grandmother and am curious to know if this address was indeed a public house
