Good morning.....I am not exactly new, but have never been able to really get out my message.  Although i have had lots of help......Not understanding how to navigate further then what help i get makes it difficult for me to make connections..I have noticed a few trees who seem to have my gggrandfathers information, but not sure how to get ahold of them......If that is you..I am the daughter of John Helgason, son of Grace McNab....daughter of Adam John McNab, son of Captain John McNab and Dora Day (Captain John McNab had two daughters Margaret and Dorthy)all came to Canada in the early 1900's....With help..i think my gggrandfather's roots take me back to Leith Scotland, could be son of Adam McNab, and Janett McDonald.  This appears to show a brother William..other then that, i cannot navigate to find more on this family......I have exhausted my own family for more information, but they have no further information.. Thankyou to any and all who can help me........Lisa

Would someone be able to help me find my great great grand father Captain John McNab.  From what i understand he left Scotland to go to England where he left his marriage and moved to Canada with a Dora Day.  They had a son together John Adam McNab...........My understanding is that my great great grandfather changed his last name from a double bb to one b as there were two Captains with the same spelling and names........I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can help me find information, as i am trying to piece my family together for my Aunt who has no way of searching for herself.......i can also be contacted by email....(*).....thank you to anyone and all who can help. I look forward to hearing
from anyone!!!

Lancashire / Looking for past family in Lancashire Liverpool
« on: Wednesday 23 March 11 14:24 GMT (UK)  »
Hi there! Im searching for my family Adam John Mcnab born August 4, 1898. His parents are John Mcnab and Dora Day.  It seems they moved to Canada some time after their son was born, as he would go on to marry my great grandmother Eva Bessie Tranter, daughter of Edward Tranter, who married a Christina Hannson. Any help you can offer me will be greatly appreciated.    I know very little about my family due to divorce when my father was a baby.
Looking forward to hearing from you or anyone!  Lisa
