Would appreciate it if anyone could clean up this photo please.  I am not sure but believe some of the riders could be my Shadforth Gt-Uncles at country races somewhere in Far North Queensland, Australia in late 1890s or early 1900s.  Many thanks.

South Africa / Cape of Good Hope Birth
« on: Sunday 07 April 19 03:43 BST (UK)  »
On the birth certificates of several of her children born between 1868 and 1877, in Queensland, Australia, Mary Ann McKay stated she married John Cain (born approx 1832 at Tuam, Galway, Ireland) on 2 June 1857 at Glasgow, Scotland.  She also stated she was born at the Cape of Good Hope in approx 1842.  Despite searching under various spellings, this marriage cannot be found and to date, I have not located her birth either.  Where would be the most appropriate site to search for her birth please?

Can anyone tell me what this word means please - Rößleinswith
It describes the occupation of a Johann Jakob Haag on a birth document in 1818.  I believe this ß means s repeated and RoBlein could be the name of a pub/inn/restaurant in Niederstetten, Wurttemberg.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Many thanks Greggles.

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / German Marriage Certificate Translation
« on: Friday 17 March 17 04:28 GMT (UK)  »
Could anyone translate this German Marriage Certificate for me please?  I have been able to establish that my 2xGt-Grandfather, Georg Adam Abendschein married my 2xGt-Grandmother, Carolina Barbara Friedrichsen at the Evangelische Church, Niederstetten, Wurtemburg, Germany on 15 June 1824.  I believe his parents were Georg Andreas Abendschein and mother, Anna Barbara Barsin.  I cannot translate any professions and would very much appreciate any assistance.

I do not have the original of this photograph so am hoping someone can help by restoring this copy of my Grandmother, Margaret Alice Brown, so that her face may be a little clearer.  I am not sure of the identities of the children.  Many thanks.
