Henry Smith was my Great, Great grand father, he lost his life at sea , Eastern Inlet, Tasmania on the 12th June 1847 on a ketch 'Fanny'. We are unable to find his birth certificate or when he came to Tasmania. Don't think that he was a convict as we can find no record of that. any help will be very much appreciated. Noeline.

I am looking for information on Henry Smith [ born 1818 ? ] Lost his life sailing from the Montague river Tasmania to Stanley on a cutter = Fanny 1884.
I can follow his wife's family back [Stearne and Thorp] but can't trace Henry Smith.

Perants ISAAC WALKER born SHELF. and HANNAH WINTERBOTTOM born OLDHAM,
Did Oliver move with his family to the USA. about 1892 but had to leave behind Frances Hannah [Mason] aged about 7 as she was ill.

My grandmother Frances Hannah Walker was sick and was unable to go to the USA with the rest of her family so stayed in England with her grandparents John Chalder and Mary Rhodes of Shildon Durham.
She married Harrie Mason and moved to New Zerland with her children after his death.
I would like to know a little more about her family.
