Does anyone know what the squiggles mean that are underneath the signature on this photo. My grandfather was in the A.S.C in the first world war. It could be shorthand of some sort?

Cheshire / Old Farmhouse at Prenton
« on: Tuesday 09 August 11 19:25 BST (UK)  »
Here is an interesting pen and ink drawing of Lower Farm in Prenton, Birkenhead - one of the few remaining houses of old Prenton Village in the 1950's. It was featured in the Liverpool  Echo in the 1950's by my late mother Dorothea Le Feuvre. She regularly submitted drawings of local and well known buildings on the Wirral. Thought it might be of interest to anyone living on the Wirral.

This might be of interest to anyone living on the Wirral. It is a black and white pen/ink drawing of Irby Old Hall. It was drawn by my late mother ,Dorothea Le Feuvre ,and it featured in the Liverpool Echo in 1959. She regularly had pen drawings of local ,well known buildings featured in the Echo and always included a black cat somewhere in the scene!

Cheshire / Laird School of Art , Birkenhead, circa 1934
« on: Monday 08 August 11 15:03 BST (UK)  »
Does anyone recognise family members in this photograph of students at the Laird School of Art in Laird Street, Birkenhead, Cheshire. The photo was taken around 1934 when my mother Dorothea Baxter (second on right- bottom row) was a student. I only know that 2 of the people were Pam Mott and Roly Roberts. My mother remembered these times as the best of her life. They were taught by Charles Sharp, a well known water colour artist.
