Leicestershire / Margaret May Cragg
« on: Sunday 07 August 11 17:30 BST (UK)  »
Hi, i am a little confused. help!
according to what i've seen, Margaret May Cragg is both the daughter of Robert Carr Cragg b 7 Feb 1897 lincolnshire, and Annie Clifton Boardman and the wife of Edward Carr Crampton who is the son of Ruth Cragg 1878-1973who is the son of Robert Carr Cragg's grandfather, also called Robert Carr Cragg 1844-1932 (Son is William Cragg b1868 who's the 1st Robert Carr Cragg's Dad), which makes them both married and 1st cousin once removed.. i assume something is wrong. cousins i can understand, but they're two different generations so unlikely. help? i don't want to give too much information in case something is wrong as i believe it is..

Children were William Harold (or just Harold) Cragg 30 Jan 1900 in Holbeach and Robert Carr "Uncle Bob" Cragg on 07 Feb 1897. William died Jun 1984 in Fenland, Cambridgeshire.

Cannot find her by her maiden name on a Census but it is probably there somewhere... any help?

« on: Saturday 06 August 11 17:16 BST (UK)  »
Hi, i am looking for information, particularly the parents of Hanna Hanes (or Heanes) Beecraft. Married Robert Carr Cragg 25 Mar 1864. She was Born 16 Aug 1846 in Sutton St. James, Lincolnshire, registered in Holbeach and died 1 jan 1936 in Long Sutton or East Ellow. 12 Children: William 26 Dec 1864, Annie Sophia 26 Aug 1866, John Henry 18 Oct 1870, Ruth Cragg 3 Sep 1872, Ida Jul 1874, George Fred 3 Dec 1875, Ruth 8 Jan 1878, Frank 18 Jul 1879, May 6 May 1883, Hannah Jane 6 May 1883 and Elizabeth 9 Mar 1899.

I can only find info on her with her married name and info on a similar named person who was born Hannah Cragg. It is after 1837 so the parish records should be available. anyone have any help with finding parents?

Lincolnshire / Parish record for Marriage of John Cragg to Jane
« on: Saturday 06 August 11 16:15 BST (UK)  »
Hi, I need to find a Parish marriage record for John Cragg, born 1810 or 1811 to Jane Unknown born 1807-1808. Broth born in Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire (is it Sutton Bridge or Wridge as i find both and unsure which is correct...?). Children are from 1833 so i can assume 1827-1833 would be the date. any idea how i can get this or order it?

I'm pretty sure John has no middle name as on the 1851 Census, he lists his Sons as Robert Carr, John and William and daughter as Jane so i assume the 2 Johns and William and daughter Jane have no middle name since he specifically put Robert's middle name. Also listed wife Jane as just Jane Cragg.

England / Pre 1841 Census?
« on: Saturday 06 August 11 09:56 BST (UK)  »
Hi, i am looking for pre 1841 census information... i have John Cragg, Married to Jane Cragg (maiden name unknown) in the census for 1841 and 1851. but cannot find one before this... he was born 1810-1811 in Lincolnshire. the 1841 census page is here: http://search.ancestry.com.au/cgi-bin/sse.dll?rank=1&new=1&MSAV=0&msT=1&gss=angs-c&gsfn=john&gsln=cragg&msbdy=1810&msrpn__ftp=Lincolnshire%2c+England&msrpn=5273&msrpn_PInfo=7-%7c0%7c0%7c3257%7c3251%7c0%7c0%7c0%7c5273%7c0%7c0%7c&gskw=1841&sbo=1&uidh=a46&mssng0=Jane&pcat=35&h=6570654&recoff=10+11&db=uki1841&indiv=1&ftm=1

Basically i am looking for his father which i believe is R Cragg, but could not be. there is a Richard Cragg that almost fits the bill but i want proof...

Family History Beginners Board / Family Tree Maker 2011 help
« on: Saturday 06 August 11 09:14 BST (UK)  »
Hi, can anyone tell me if i can import a family tree from ancestry.com.au 's tree site (such as this one http://trees.ancestry.com.au/tree/18771616/person/709765179  ? i can merge one at a time which does sisters and brothers but then of course the sisters and brothers have kids and the parents have brothers and sisters who have kids etc etc etc. is there a way to import all data above a certain person? for example if i wanted everyone related to the fellow in the URL above, can i do it? i have a coupel of very large ones to import and it's taking forever and i'm getting lost with which branches i have visited etc and do a lot of back-tracking and re-checking...

i did find another tree site helpful as it as all plain text-looking HTML, so when i had visited a person, the link went purple so i know i hadn't looked at all of the blue links but the ancestry ones don't change colour and either way it is tedious...

thanks.
