Bedfordshire Lookup Requests / Family of John Peck(e) - Little Barford - 1680 to 1700
« on: Tuesday 21 February 23 14:01 GMT (UK)  »
I am trying to trace the above. I have found the following (all children of John and Abigail Peck(e)):
Elizabeth Pecke   C: 28 Aug 1687
Margaret Pecke   C: 17 Feb 1689
Abigail Peck   C: 5 Oct 1690
John Pecke   C: 30 Dec 1692
Ann Peck      C: 18 Aug 1695   Born: 5 Aug 1695
Mary Peck      C: 6 Feb 1697   Born: 6 Feb 1697

Also the following burials:
Abigail Peck   B: 31 Oct 1699   wife of John Peck   carpenter
John Peck   B: 21 Nov 1699   carpenter

However the only marriage I can find is:
John Pecke   M: 21 Jun 1686   Elizabeth Bettam   (John Pecke Carpenter)

How likely is it that Elizabeth became Abigail!

I am trying to trace the above baptism. However I am confused as IGI and Ancestry have only one William Salt here in this time period - William Salt christened 15 Sep 1661 parents John and Francis. However Find My Past has this William as well as a second christened 7 Jan 1665 parents William and Winnyfride. Does anyone have access to the actual register to resolve this issue? Thanks David

Huntingdonshire Lookup Requests / Susan White of Swineshead 1813
« on: Wednesday 06 January 21 13:49 GMT (UK)  »
Hi

Can anyone help with a lookup for the baptism of Susan White about 1813? The 1851 census shows her, now Susan Wilkins, as being 38 and born in Swineshead. Her marriage entry to John Wilkins shows her father as being William White.

Thanks
David

Bedfordshire Lookup Requests / John King an Susan Woodall c1690
« on: Friday 29 May 20 13:05 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find the baptisms of my 8xGparents John King and Susan Woodall. They were married at Meppershall on 30 Sep 1713 and had 5 children - John, Elizabeth, Richard, Susan and Solomon - all christened at Meppershall between 1715 and 1725. John was buried at Meppershall on 22 Jan 1741 and Susan at Meppershall on 7 Apr 1747 aged 55. However I can find no record of John or Susan's baptisms. David

Huntingdonshire Lookup Requests / Lucy Green of Molesworth about 1831
« on: Monday 25 May 20 15:47 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone help please? I am trying to find the baptism of Lucy Green. The 1841 census says she was 10 and the the 1851 that she was born in Molesworth. The 1841 census shows her with Jane 43 (I assume her mother although has the same surname) and siblings Susan 17, George 14 and William 12 (also all Greens). I did manage to get to the Hunts RO many years ago and found christenings for all of those plus Ann 1821, Sophia 1825, and Joseph 1830. I also found a burial for Joseph; Sophia is a servant at another residence in Molesworth. I have the name of William Tebbutt as father but don't know where I got that from. My visit was over 10 years ago and I have probably lost some of the paperwork I did when visiting the RO.

Northamptonshire / Sarah Ann White b. 1834
« on: Saturday 26 March 16 10:50 GMT (UK)  »
I am trying to trace my GGmother Sarah Ann White's birth/baptism. She married William Miller at St Sepulchre, Northampton on 3 May 1859 and was 'of full age'. The 1861 and 1871 census show her living with William Miller in Higham Ferrers aged 29 and 39 respectively and 1851 shows born at HF while 1861 is blank. She died in 1875 and is buried at HF. I can only find one Sarah Ann White in the 1851 census where that person is a servant in Wellingborough and her age shows as 16 and born in Irchester. I can find no record of her in the 1841 census.
