Down / John Henning and Sons
« on: Saturday 31 March 12 04:38 BST (UK)  »
Hi!
I would appreciate any help in finding info on ggggrandfather John Henning.
From what I know passed down through the family is that he owned a linen mill "John Henning and Sons" at Waringstown.
I found his death in 1874 (thanks to Bowman).
His daughter Elizabeth married Richard Fahy and they are my gggrandparents.
I would love to know the names, etc, of Johns other children (I was told there was an Alex or maybe Alexander), and really any other info thats available on the family. Also who owned the company after John died.
Thank you

Australia / John Edward SELBY
« on: Tuesday 10 January 12 03:43 GMT (UK)  »
Hi!
I am hoping someone can help with my brickwall.
I have just acquired a photo of my husbands ggrandfather John Edward Selby 1865-1929 in a Australian army uniform. He was born in Yorkshire but moved to Australia aged 18. Lived in NSW.
I would like to know when and where he joined and where he served. It seems that only the soldiers that died are shown on the web sites.
Thanks Mariona

Australia / australia arrival KRYGGER
« on: Saturday 03 September 11 06:18 BST (UK)  »
My brick wall is that I cannot find when my 2ggrandfather arrived in Australia. His name was Peter Krygger and according to marriage, death and hospital records in Ballarat Victoria he was born in Antwerp Belguim c1825. He states on his marriage certificate he had a wife and child who died in 1849.
He remarried at Ballarat in 1865 to Isabella Thompson and he died 1878 age 54 and had lived in Australia 27 years.
I would appreciate any help in finding his arrival
Many thanks
Mariona
