Lancashire / Mary Thompson/William Richardson

Help!

This couple have been driving me nuts for a while now!  ??? :'(  My great grandmother Mary Richardson was born 7Th May 1887 in Hulme, Manchester with parents on birth certificate as Mary Richardson (formally Thompson) and William Richardson. They also had 5 other children.

I have tried numerous ways of trying to find their marriage in the civil registers with no joy at all! The only evidence I can find is on FindMyPast and that is a transcribed only church record from Prestwich, St Mary in 1882 of a William Richardson and Mary Thompson. It has no original image so cant verify the information and it also doesn't give fathers details for either the bride or groom.

I really want to find the civil record for them so I can order the marriage certificate to find out the fathers details so any help/advice anyone can give to find it would be very much appreciated.

Thank you so much.

Classification: Query

Hi everyone

I'm wondering if anyone can help me track down an elusive ancestor from South Shields.
I have the following info:
James Maxwell Matthews (Sometimes as James, sometime as Maxwell) born approx. 1808 in Down, Ireland (I think that means County Down) and died approx. 1876.
I have found him in 1841, 1851, 1861 and 1871 but what I'd ideally like to find is where he was buried.
His address in 1871 is Brickgarth Row, Westoe and wondered where the most likely place of burial would be from that point? He's listed his occupation as Horsekeeper but his son is a coal miner.
He doesn't seem to have baptised his children in any records online so something makes me thing that there could be a non conformist element in there somewhere.
This man has driven me nuts for years! I can not find him before the 1841 census and can't find how or when he travelled from Ireland to England or maybe Scotland (wife is Scottish and elder children are listed as born in Scotland) so any additional info anyone can find would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much in advance for any help.

Hampshire & IOW Lookup Requests / Yateley and Basingstoke look up please
« on: Saturday 04 May 13 14:13 BST (UK)  »
Hi all

I was wondering if anyone would be able to look up some information for me in Yateley or surrounding areas.

I am looking for anything on Isaac Strickland born approx 1775 in Yateley.

He married Sarah Adams in Basingstoke in 1798 and according to Pallots Index he was from Yateley. I have not been able to look at the original so not 100% this accurate.

I would appreciate any help anyone may be able to give me.

Thanks very much

Worcestershire Lookup Requests / Turner marriage lookup. Ombersley/Grimley
« on: Thursday 29 September 11 11:27 BST (UK)  »
Hi there
Is any one able to help me with a marriage look up for Grimley?
I have the marriage information from familysearch as follows:
William Turner and Mary Freeman married 30 September 1838 in Grimley, Worcestershire.
What I dont have is the name of the fathers of William or Mary. I could do with that information from the original to continue my research further and I would really appreciate any help trying to find out.
Thank you.

London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Isleworth look up
« on: Monday 05 September 11 17:25 BST (UK)  »
Hi there
Would anyone be willing to help with a look up for Isleworth, Hounslow. I'm looking for a George Strickland born abt 1821. He married Sarah Robinson on 24th Feb 1845 in St Pauls, Hammersmith and the marriage certificate shows his father as George Strickland. All Census records show his birthplace as Isleworth or Hounslow. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.
