« on: Thursday 18 February 21 14:16 GMT (UK)  »
Afternoon

I am wondering whether any kind person has the burial records for Rushall. I am looking for Perry records including the burial of Thomas Perry in 1838 and his son Daniel who may have died around 1834.

This is a long shot, request from my Father in Law, Jim. Nancy Pugsley nee Whitcombe was born at Meare, she was Jim's Aunt and sadly died young. She married Dennis in 1960. Does anyone have any photos of Nancy and Dennis.
I have lots of info on them and Jim regularly visits their grave in Meare, along with the other Whitcombe families buried there.
Many thanks Heather

Wiltshire Lookup Requests / Thomas Pinchin born abt 1803 Woodborough
« on: Friday 11 January 19 09:25 GMT (UK)  »
Morning

I wonder whether any helpful person has access to the baptism records for Woodborough. I am looking for a baptism for Thomas Pinchin to see which family he came from. The various census give his date of birth as 1803. I have other details for Thomas, except his marriage, his daughter Elizabeth Jane married William Sellwood, bbs of my 3 x Great Grandmother.

Many thanks

Somerset / Marriage bond 23 Sept 1820 Stone and Hippisley
« on: Tuesday 10 October 17 16:10 BST (UK)  »
I wonder whether a knowledgeable person can help me please. Gabriel Stone and Edward Hippisley signed a marriage bond on the 23 September before Gabriel Stone married Eliza Hippisley. They married on the 25 September. Do I take it that Edward was Eliza's Father? There is a baptism for an Eliza Hippisley in the Shepton Mallet area 29 November 1795, Father Edward.

And information would be helpful.
Thanks, Heather

Kent Lookup Requests / Minster in Thanet marriages and burials 1863 and 1866
« on: Wednesday 26 July 17 08:09 BST (UK)  »
Hello helpful folks,

Following on from my last request, I wonder whether a kind person has access to the marriage records for Minster in Thanet. I am looking for information on the marriage in the Oct Q 1863 between John Lawrence Roalf and Lydia Susanna Sayers. They both lived in Minster and were witnesses to John's Uncles marriage 21 June 1862. I think that John was the illegitimate son of Sarah Roalf.

I am also interested in a burial for Susannah L Rolfe in the July Q 1866 who a relation thinks was the same Lydia Susannah Sayers who married in 1863. We have various spellings for this surname in or family!!!

John Lawrence Roalf married Ann Jane Foad in 1868 in the Thanet Registration District.

Many help would be great and save the expense of a marriage certificate.

Many thanks again

Kent Lookup Requests / Minster in Thanet marriage records 1862
« on: Monday 24 July 17 10:16 BST (UK)  »
I wonder whether any kind person is able to do a look up for me please. 21 June 1862, Minster in Thanet, marriage between James Roalfe and Charlotte Souten. I must have had a record of it at one time as I have the witnesses as John Roalf and Lydia Susannah Sayer. However I am re-visiting the family and would like to know Charlotte's Father.

Any help would be great.

Thanks, Heather

George served in the Army and from his records his place of birth was Thornbury, born in 1811. The 1861 gives his place of birth as Minchinhampton. He married at Otterhampton Somerset 15 August 1843 and gave his Father's name as William Cave, occupation a sawyer.

Big ask I know but does any kind person have access to the baptism records for either of these places and is able to look up to see if there is a baptism for George. Or have any record for a William Cave. I have found info on George from various census, just would like to know if he shares a link with my husband's Cave family.

Many thanks

Galway / Name change Redington(Reddington) to Coen Co Galway
« on: Thursday 26 January 17 09:33 GMT (UK)  »
Does anyone have any ideas why the Redington family from Ballinasloe changed their name to Coen at the beginning of the 1900s. Michael Redington married Kate Purcell, all their children were registered and baptised either Redington or Reddington. But from the 1901 and 1911 census and there after they were known as Coen.

Many thanks. Heather

Galway / Derrymullen, Ballinasloe, local knowledge
« on: Thursday 19 January 17 10:25 GMT (UK)  »
Hi there

I have looked at the 1911 census for Derrymullen and it looks as if there were only two farms there in 1911. What was the place like in 1927? were there more houses there at that time. From one of the descriptions on a web site it says that Derrymullen is a 226 acre townland on the north side of Ballinasloe.
The reason for asking is that my husband's Great Grandmother was a single lady, a servant from Derrymullen, Ballinasloe when she gave birth at a private maternity house in Dublin in 1927. Probably will never be able to track down either of her parents (only have a mothers name) but just curious where she may have come from.

Many thanks. Heather
