Essex / Parents of Hilary Jean Paxman 1944 - 1985 Southend on Sea?

I'm helping a friend trying to discover more of their tree and ancestors.

They are trying to establish the parents of Hilary Jean Paxman.

Information we have found so far:

Born 16 Dec 1944 (According to her death record) - We cannot find a birth record.

Died Jan, Feb, Mar 1985 (Aged 40) Southend on Sea, Essex.

1st Marriage Jul, Aug, Sep 1964 Southend on Sea, Essex. (4 children)
2nd Marriage Jan, Feb, Mar 1973 Chelmsford, Essex. (2 children)
This is all we know and can find. We haven't managed to find a birth record which is why we are struggling to find her parents names.

Any help most appreciated as we know nothing more about her.

Monmouthshire / Jacob Gale 1839 - 1892 Bettws Newydd

Hello, We are completely stuck on Jacob Gale, Born 1839 Malmesbury, Wiltshire. married Elizabeth Emma Powell on 7 Apr 1860 • Baptist Chapel Frogmore Street, Abergavenny, Monmouth, Wales (Certificate held). Jacob died 1892 and was buried 17 Aug 1892 Trostrey, Monmouthshire, Wales, abode Bettws Newydd. We cannot confirm his exact birth as a couple of Jacobs come up in wiltshire around his time. But the marriage certificate states his father as Robert Gale an Ag Laborer. We cannot find Jacob census for 1871 when he was married and was in the Skenfirth area. nor can we 1841 or 1851 to try and find his parents and any siblings. Any help gratefully revcieved.

Kent / Bert Taylor 1907 - Charing Heath, Kent

I am having trouble finding out any further infomration on Bert Taylor.

He was born around May in 1907 in Charing Heath.

1911 Census - With his family in Eastling, Faversham

Parents: Harry Taylor & Caroline Ottaway.

In 1926 he signed up in Canterbury to the The Royal Tank Corps according to a one page record i found.

His Reg Number were: 316138 & 1746053 - aged 19.5.

I cannot find out what happened to him or any more infomation on his amry career.

Any help would be welcomed.

Kent / Jane Edwards 1806 - 1838 - Siblings & parents?

Hi,

I've been stuck on Jane Edwards for quite some while and was wondering if anyone could help or has found any links to other trees. Janes Edwards was born abt 1806 in or around Wye, Kent. (Most people when tracing her have her as 1811, but this is incorrect). She married John Butcher on the 10th Jan 1829 in Wye, Kent (Stated as a Spinster with John Butcher & Mary Butcher as witnesses). They had three children before she died. They were: Edward 1829 at Hinxhill, Charles 1831 at Hinxhill & Ellen 1833 at Smeeth. On the 18th Jun 1838 she died in Smeeth. Address was The Ridgeway, Smeeth (Informant was her husband John, No cause of death on the certificate). She was Buried on the 23rd Jun 1838 at St Mary's Church, Sellindge, Kent. (Stated aged 32 abode Smeeth). John went on and re-married a Frances Tickner in Jul 1839.

I cannot find any records for Jane Edwards in the parish records and have come to a holt for tracing her possible siblings and parents. Any help would be appreciated.

I was wondering if anyone has a copy or knows where I can get one posted to england as its no longer in print. I have even asked kevin o'connor who wrote it but still no luck.the book is called The descendants of the O'Connors of Carrigafoyle stemming from the Datheenachs line.

I am trying to research John Lawrence Finlayson-Gauld bor Nov 1903 and died 30 March 1960. I know his marriage and he had two children. I have found his probate record too. We know his family came from Edinburgh. We would like to know more about him as he was an Actor and he apparently died after being knock off his bike on his way home. Any Actor related information would be most welcomed.

Canada / Elizabeth Gale maybe Savery married an Albert in Canada. Albert is unknown?

Hello,

We are trying to solve the following family story. We have an Elizabeth Gale born 22 Jan 1911 Aldershot, Hampshire, England. She married a Henry E Savery in 1938 in Dover, Kent. Her neice had always known her has single when growing up, so we think Henry must of died shortly after they married or they separted maybe. Elizabeth married an Albert on the 22 Dec 1975 as we have a photo of them with the date and signed Liz & Albert. We think she married in Canada as she had a half brother known as Ted who lived out there, we think Ted as he was known was slightly older maybe. Their parents were Edgar Gale & Harriet Walker who lived mainly in Dover, Kent England, but did end their days in Hythe Kent, England. We know that Both Elizabeth & Albert have died, but do not when. Albert had a son known as Bert. We would be most greaful if anyone can confirm Albert's surname, and where they lived, married and died. Also if they can find the link on Ted as he is a mystery. We have photos but that's it.

Australia / Australia Archieves

I have noticed when searching the archieves some documents have already been digised and are free to view from the UK on the internet. Documents that aren't already digitised, I have had to pay for at quite a cost, for them to digitise the document. This has and hasn't proved useful. But if you live in Australia I believe this service is free and then it will be avavable online for others to view for free.

Can some confirm if this is the case and if so, is anyone willing to ask for certain documents for me to be digitised for free if possible or offer a look up service if passing the archieves?

I would be ever so greatful.

Kerry / o'connor & Brosnan - Knockbrack

Hello,

A little stuck on one side of the tree. Any help would be most greatful.

Mary Bridget O'Connor - Born 7 Nov 1929 Knockbrack, Tralee, Kerry, Ireland, married Michael Freeman in 1952 Croyden and died 2003 in Kent.

Her parents as stated on Birth certificate were Michael O'Connor & Margaret Brosnan who from a marriage index were married about Aug 1925 in Tralee, Kerry, Ireland.

These are the only details we have so far on Michael & Margaret. Our guess would be married in Knockbrack as per their daughters certificate, but that's about it.

Please help.
