hi there I have posted this photo before but again I now have the original so I have scanned full thing.
he was born 1866, it has wilberts 5 Bristol bridge Bristol on it, his wife was from Bristol they married in 1886 but they was married in birmgham and lived in Birmingham/wolverhampton after that.
I originally thought it may be mid late 1880s? now im not sure, I have found wilberts at that address around 1908 onwards on newsparer archive but this photo seems a lot older as he would be over 40 years old by that date, regards

Hi there my 3rd great aunt clare dursley was married to a painter/artist called Charles William carey 1862-1943 he did some paintings of family members that I have had some sent to me by a 2nd cousin.
I came across this one painted by Charles William carey just named as a older gentleman, I was wondering if it is that of his father in law Charles dursley my 3rd great grandfather, it looks remarkably like my ggrandmother frances b.1860 his daughter.
Charles dursley was born 1830 in Bristol died in 1897 would this painting fit to 1890s?
Due to copy rights I am just able to attact a link to the painting in question but ive attached a coloured photo of his daughter frances for comparison reasons, kind regards

Hi there, my grandfather was born in January 1933 his parents had been married for 9 years with two daughters born 1925 and 29 and my grandfather was adopted to his mothers aunt when he was a baby and my grandfather was told his mother had died, he later found out she went to Stafford mental asylum due to milk fever he later found her in her 90s alive, she died in 1994 aged 95. she spent her whole life in there from 1933 till the asylum closed in the 80s or 90s. We just found out from my granddad cousin that infact his mom tried to commit suicide by jumping out window with  my few week old grandad in her arms and she was going to be arrested but sent to asylum instead. her name was mary elkington
they lived at old heath road Wolverhampton she was admitted 20th feb 1933 aged 33 years.
please could someone search express and star or any other local newspaper to see if any article was published about it. much appreciated thankyou
