Hoping someone can help me as I have hit a brick wall

By a pure miracle I have managed to find the parents (Joseph Perry & Elizabeth Smout) to our 2nd Great Grandmother Jane Perry their daughter, who was born approx 1801 Broseley (so it says on the censii). She was never baptised but at 32 years old she did get baptised when she baptised her daughter Eliza Lloyd in Sedgley Staffs on 15 Aug 1833

The only clue I have now on Jane's baptism off FreeReg was her father as above was Joseph Perry and he was a brickmaker and lived in Broseley and her mother was Elizabeth

I then managed to find Joseph Perry & Elizabeth Smout wedding on 20 Oct 1787 in Broseley. I cannot get any further probably because they were non conformists or just did not baptise their children I am completely stuck. I have searched Ancestry, Find My Past, Family Search and FreeReg

Can anyone give me a few pointers in which direction to go now

Many thanks in advance

Good morning to you all
I am at a brick wall with my Balm ancestors and cannot find where they are buried.

I have what I believe are most of their deaths but would love to find where they are buried

Joseph Balm b1788 (Midgley) d1849/50 (Ovenden) - baptised at Ebeneezer Chapel Heptonstall
His wife Betty Balm nee Sutcliffe b1787 (Ovenden) d1844 (Ovenden)
Their son David b1819 (Ovenden) d1839 (Ovenden) - baptised Zion Methodist New Connexion, Ovenden

Also brother of Joseph above who was baptised at Ebeneezer Chapel Heptonstall
John Balm b1795 (Midgley) Death unknown
Elizabeth Balm (nee Shaw) circa 1795 (Midgley) death unknown

I have checked on Ancestry and also on Find My Past and there is nothing coming up for any burials.
Also checked Family Search and the search on Calderdale Family History
Plus I have contacted Lister Lane and they cannot find them and have checked all through Illingworth St Mary but no luck
I have also checked Mount Zion at Ogden burials

Any help or ideas gratefully received

Good morning

I am hoping someone will be able to help me with more details regarding my husbands 5th Great Grandfather & Grandmother Daniel & Hannah Ash

I have searched and searched but cannot find any parents or baptism in the whole country for Daniel Ash born 1744 Blacksmith who brought his family up in Prestbury & Macclesfield. I have google searched his name but again coming up a blank. I have checked Ancestry on which I have an account and have just done a normal search on Find My Past & The Genealogist plus Family Search & FreeReg

He married Hannah Chapman on 23rd June 1766 at Prestbury Cheshire

His children were
Sarah 1767
Joseph 1768
Thomas 1771
Martha 1774
Daniel 1776
Mary 1778

Would be grateful of any help

Many thanks

Staffordshire Lookup Requests / John Ash baptised 1806 Cheddleton Staffordshire
« on: Thursday 12 January 17 13:34 GMT (UK)  »
Good afternoon all

I have hit a brick wall and I am truly hoping someone can help me out

I think I have found the parents of my 3rd Great Grandfather John Ash born 1806 Cheddleton Staffordshire baptised Cheddleton St Edward but I just need to prove it and I cannot!

I believe them to be Thomas & Lucy Ash (Lucy's maiden name was Ash also) . Lucy I believe comes from a well known Ash family in Leek (Parents Solomon Ash & Ann Morris). I cannot find out anything about her husband Thomas on their marriage licence (married in Prestbury Cheshire 1790)(Thomas was 18 Lucy was 21 ) Thomas Fathers name given as Samuel Roson?

Lucy has a child Thomas out of wedlock born 1789 (father named as Thomas Ash) also baptised Cheddleton but all other children were baptised at St Edwards Leek (is this the same church as St Edwards Cheddleton?

On Johns census records on 1851 down as born Stoke on 1861 down as Bagnall - he was a potter by trade and married Elizabeth Taylor b1804 and had 10 children (most of whom became potters) he died 1866 (after becoming bankrupt in 1863)

I am sorry to go on and I hope I have made sense with the above. I seem to be going round in circles. I have an Ancestry account but not a Find My Past account so I cannot view documents on there

Any help gratefully received

I have searched everywhere but I cannot get any more information apart from what I found on Ancestry

Name   William Lloyd
Gender   Male
Marriage Date   1822
Marriage Place   Saint Leonard, Broseley, Shropshire, England
Spouse   Jane Perry
FHL Film Number   992079

I wonder if the parents were mentioned on the marriage and also their ages and occupations and birth place

Also I have searched for children for them and I can find nothing until the birth of Joseph Lloyd in 1832 when they were living in Staffordshire

Any help gratefully received

Many thanks

Please could SKS do me a look up for 2 marriages in Stourbridge in the 1800's

I have found these 2 marriages on Ancestry but of course they are showing me 2 couples so I am unsure who has married who! I have been on FamilySearch & FreeReg but there doesnt seem to be any Stourbridge records anywhere

I know my John Davis b1830 Bilston Staffordshire married a Mary Ann b1835 (says on census born Bilston & also Sedgley)  - I am really struggling to find which Mary Ann it is

These are the 2 I have found for Stourbridge

1. John Davis & Mary Anne Worrall Stourbridge Dec quarter 1852
2. John Davis & Mary Ann Ledbury Stourbridge Sept quarter 1855

Their first born was Sarah Jane Davis - I cannot find her birth either - the year is looking as being 1855 (I have found a birth record on BMD for Stourbridge Sept quarter 1855)

Any help would be very much appreciated

Thank you
Marilyn

Please could SKS help me with my search for the burial place of my husbands Great Grandmother & Great Grandfather

I believe
Mary Ann Davis b1834 d1881 age 47 is buried St Mary the Virgin, this is showing on Find My Past but I do not have an account there only on Ancestry which is not showing me burial details

Her husband John Davis  b1829 d1878 age 49 could also possibly be here, I just wondered if the burial records had any more information

Thank you so much in advance

Lincolnshire Lookup Requests / Ivy May Wells (born 1906) marriage to Mr Hill
« on: Friday 19 February 16 11:52 GMT (UK)  »
Good morning all

After many months of searching I have at last had a breakthrough on our Ivy May Wells by visiting Find My Past and searching the 1939 register

I came across this record

Wells Household Lincoln C.B. Lincolnshire (parts of Lindsey)

Ivy M Hill (Wells) born 1906
Frederick W Wells and 1 more person are on this record (I believe these are her grandparents Frederick W Wells and Georgiana Wells)
Plus 1 more person officially closed (I am guessing/hoping this is a child of Mr Hill & Ivy ?)

I have been searching for a marriage for Ivy May Wells and death for so long I had given up hope and was so excited to find this

However I have spent the past 4 hours searching for a marriage to a Hill and cannot find one anywhere. I do have an Ancestry account and have searched that to no avail plus I have been on Free BMD & Family Search and nothing has come up.
I do not have a Find My Past account to be able to view this 1939 fully but I do not think it will give me any more info than I have unless the other person is her husband which would give me a name I guess, but I know her grandmother was still alive

I am hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction - thanking you in advance

regards
Marilyn
