London and Middlesex / GREEN FAMILY FROM BETHNAL GREEN LONDON
« on: Monday 27 February 17 18:01 GMT (UK)  »
I have been searching for information on the above Green family for over 20 years without much luck but determined not to give up. I am trying to find a William Green who on his marriage certificate to Elizabeth Ware (St Pauls Church in the district of Haggerston) on 28 June 1896 is aged 26, a bachelor, occupation traveller, living at 44 Maidstone Street and his Father is James Green a Coal Merchant.  By the 1901 Census William Green is living at 67 Maidstone Street, Haggerston aged 27 (anomaly), occupation General Labourer and born in Bethnal Green.  Can't find him on the 1911 census or a death certificate but by 1914 his wife Elizabeth re-marries to a James Edwards.
I would be truly delighted and grateful to hear from anyone who perhaps has information on this family and had more success than I.

I have found a Seaman ticket number (195141) for one of my ancestors a James Murrison born 1826 in Pitsligo working out of Peterhead.  Can anyone tell me what this ticket is, where I could view the entry and also whether it would hold any information regarding him?

Many thanks

Hampshire & Isle of Wight / FAIRFIELD HOUSE
« on: Saturday 27 August 05 07:06 BST (UK)  »
Have a memorium stating a member of my family worked at Fairfield House for 20 years  - I believe possibly it is in the Meonstoke/Droxford area.  Does anybody happen to know anything about it and whether it is still standing.   If so where I could perhaps obtain a picture from. When I next go to the Hampshire Record Office I will ask there too as they (thinking about it) might be my best source.

Thanks  Debbie

Aberdeenshire / Murrison/Murison/Morrison from Peterhead
« on: Wednesday 15 June 05 16:35 BST (UK)  »
I am searching for a James Murrison who married a Margaret Watson in Peterhead. He was a seaman. Two of their children were born in Peterhead Harriet 1850 and Catherine Kilgour Shives 1852. The latter is my g.g. grandmother. She then married an Andrew Charles Baulf in Queensferry. I am also trying to find out where the Kilgour and Shives might have come from. Only thought is perhaps maiden names but I have hit a complete brick wall, can anyone help.

Many thanks

Debbie
