My 3x gt grandad was married in Manchester in 1813 when he was a private in the 12th Regiment. He had a son (my 2x gt grandad) who was baptised in Sheerness, Kent in 1823 and it looks like the regiment was in transit somewhere as there were a couple of baptisms of children of soldiers from the regiment on the same day but none before or after. I have been trying to find out where the regiment may have been between 1813 and 1823. Has anyone any ideas how to find out?
