Trying to trace great aunts family in 1901. Checked Ancestry and FindMyPast, no sign of any of the family. They lived in Kirk St Bootle for many years so tried to check address on FindMyPast but no results. Did the street not exist in 1901. Any suggestions welcome

My 4th g.grandfather was Alexander Hartley Roberts his father was Robert Hartley but don’t know if his parents married. The Roberts name carried on. Discovered that Alexander and 2 of his teenage children died in April 1833 I know infant mortality was high but not older children. Wondered if there was an epidemic or something at that time.

Merionethshire / Robert White
« on: Friday 07 August 20 15:09 BST (UK)  »
Trying to trace the father of Robert born 1811-12 who married Mary Edwards in Claenog chapel in 1840. Father was also named as Robert, a farmer, on the marriage record. I have obtained transcripts of parish records which cover to 1812 There is no sign of him but find it strange there are no Whites recorded. I have also looked at Wyn Wynne and Gwyn but no Robert. Of course it may mean he was born elsewhere. Any further help would be appreciated.

My Grandfather was a merchant seaman from about 1900 to 1941. I have his discharge books and he seems to have been shipwrecked off the coast of Chile in Feb 1910 The ship was the Lima. I can’t seem to find any information He apparently told one of my cousins a tale about being in the water for 12 hours before being picked up. Anyone help

Trying to trace birth of my Great Grandfather James White who according to Census Records was born in Birkenhead. I have searched BMD but can only find 2 records for that year, both in Liverpool. Could he have been registered in Liverpool?
Any ideas would be gratefully received
