Family History Beginners Board / Marriage address
« on: Friday 19 February 21 12:04 GMT (UK)  »
I have a marriage that took place in the Emmanuel Church Peckham in 1874.  It doesn't give me an address for either of the participants.  It just says Emmanual. Is this unusual?  It makes the research come to a halt .

The Lighter Side / Old Kent Road
« on: Sunday 27 May 18 12:33 BST (UK)  »
I would like to find any historical information about the Old Kent Road.  Is there a site where I could find, for example, How many numbers were used when numbering the actual shops and houses. Many years ago of course.  I have a picture of a cycle shop and the owner's name is Barnes.  At 143, I can't seem to find that number anywhere.  Written in the corner of the picture is 'Old Kent Road'  Could it have been a street just off of the road? Thanks

Hello.  My gr. grandfather was married in Emmanuel Church Camberwell.  In 1874.  There is no address for him on the certificate, just the church name. If I could find an address maybe I could pin him down easier. Help!! ::)

US Completed Requests / Golding; Hartford; Conneticut
« on: Wednesday 07 March 12 12:31 GMT (UK)  »
Hello.  I have reason to believe that my gr. grandfather may have been born in Kensington, Hartford, Conneticut. His name was Frederick William Arnold Golding. Born 1851. He names his father as George Arnold Golding, jeweller. If I could find out for sure then I should be able to move on with my searching.  Many Thanks. Whimsical.
