Down / John Hardy Silcox
« on: Thursday 03 May 12 19:02 BST (UK)  »
Hi i am looking for information about john hardy silcox 1796 and the only birth i could find was that of john silcox born Dromore Parish, Down, Ireland. I am hoping someone could tell me if he boarded a boat or came to england with his family in the early 1800's. My john married in london sept 1814 so if i can find a passenger list before 1814 with john silcox onboard it would link ireland john to london john and would probably explain why i have a thing for irish men lol. Thanks for any help you can give.!!!

hi

my grandmother Mary Silcox b1913 was sent to a childrens home in banstead (i think it might have been Beechholme) along with her 2 brothers James Thomas Silcox b1905 and John William Silcox b1910. I would like to know more about this home and what happened to her 2 brothers after they left the home as she never saw them again (to my knowledge) would appreciate any help at all.

I have looked on the websites for beechholme but most cover the 1950's i think she would have been there in the 20's or earlier.

Thanks
Tina
