Dublin / Kersey or Kearsey of Swords Co.Dublin
« on: Wednesday 21 August 19 21:05 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
I am looking for information on the Kersey/Kearsey family from Swords, Dublin.  My gg grandmother Eliza Kearsey married Michael McGrane in 1874 Balrothery, Ireland.  Her father is listed as William Kersey on the marriage cert occupation Labourer. There is a William Kersey of swords who married a Jane Russell in 1844.  I found an Eliza Kersey born in Swords Jul 1852 to William and Jane HUGHES?  (I wonder is this Jane Hughes the same as Jane Russell  ???) .

Any information on the Kersey/Kearsey's of Swords is much appreciated.

Thanks  ;)

Dublin / Mary Anne Kelly nee Carroll
« on: Friday 12 January 18 20:36 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

I am still trying to source information on my g.gmother Mary Anne Kelly - who lived at 50 Rutland Square which changed to 50 Parnell Square in later years she married Thomas Kelly.  Her father was Owen Carroll and she had a sister Bridget.  I can't find anything on her death.  I do not have a dod but do know that her son died in 7th March 1923 in the Irish Army aged 18yrs and she got sick after that I've been looking through deaths from 1930-1945 but can't find anything.  My aunt was born in 1945 and she said her grandmother had died before she was born.

Her dob was 2nd May 1882 but again I can't find a birth cert to match that.  The closest I can find is Mary Anne Carroll born to Owen Carroll & Eliza Weir in Feb 1882.

Can anybody help me get to the bottom of her death.

TIA

Dublin / Matthew Weir (Ware) / Mary O'Callaghan
« on: Thursday 21 August 14 13:12 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

I am seeking any information on Matthew Weir & Mary O' Callaghan from Dublin (presumed)

They had a daughter Eliza Weir born in 1851 54 Mabbot St, who married my g.g.grandfather Owen Carroll - I have found their marriage record on Irish Genealogy (http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/details/ece46a0068833) and her parents are listed as Matthew Ware and Mary O'Callaghan.  I cannot seem to find any record on them prior to this.

Eliza and Owen Carroll had a daughter Mary Anne Carroll in 1881 and I think she is in the 1901 census listed as Matthew Weir and Mary Weir's Niece he is aged 22yrs so it is presumed this is her Uncle and maybe another child of Matthew and Mary although there is a large gap in age? in the census he birth is listed as Greenock, Renfrew, Scotland.  I wonder did they live in Scotland for a while.

any help appreciated

Jess
