Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Gleeson Family Please date if possible

This was found among family photos so I've no idea who they family are.

I assume that the photo was taken in the USA.  What age is the father?

Ancestral Family Tree DNA Testing / Missing DNA Kits from MyHeritage

I ordered a number of kits at end of November.  I was able to track the order on DHL from 5 December to 11 December but nothing further.  Despite emails to support@myheritage.com and to DHL, I've been given no info on my order.  DHL suggested contacting the vendor and MyHeritage replied with an automated ticket# for my inquiry.

There appears to be serious issues with MyHeritage and many complaints from reading the web.  Any idea what should I do?

Kerry / Thomas Fitzgerald born c1834 Tarbert

Hi,
I am looking for a Thomas Fitzgerald (RC) who lists his native place as Tarbert, Co. Limerick on his son's birth cert. in 1859 in Victoria.  While I know that Tarbert is in Kerry but on the border with Limerick, maybe some of the townslands were in Co. Limerick back then.  The Civil Parish seems to have been called Kilnaughtin.  There is just 1 possible Thomas Fitzpatricks listed for Tarbert (Ballylongford) on the Irishgenealogy website, one in 1825.  What would have been the closest Limerick parish to Tarbert?

Unfortunately, his marriage record of 1855 in Victoria could not be located.

Ireland / Marriage Cert Query

Hi,
I have my ggrandparents marriage cert (1884 - Pallasgreen/Templebraden) and noticed that there is an error or at least I suspect there is an error.

Stated on the Cert, P. Gleeson (widower) marries Johanna Gleeson (spinster) and her father's name is Maurice Kirby and sponsor was Ellen Kirby.  My mother knew her maiden name was Kirby.  I had just assumed that her name was mistakingly stated as Gleeson instead of Kirby. 

But now as I have been unable to find her baptismal record on RootsIre site, could there be any other scenario that I should consider.

Johanna's age was 23 according to MC in 1884 making her year of birth as 1861.
According to Census records she was born c 1856-1858.  There is a Jane Kirby born to Maurice in 1857 along with other siblings but they are not the same family.

Limerick / Michael Kirk born 02/12/1865 to Michael Kirk and Margaret Ryan, Kilfinane

Hi,

From my research of Ryans of Emly (needle in a haystack!!) so far, Margaret Ryan married Michael Kirk(e) in 1865 in Emly and Michael was born in December 1865.  According to Ifhf site, there were a number of children born to Michael and Margaret but not all of them were baptised in Kilfinane.  Maria born 1869, Margaret b. 1975.  However,  I can't locate any of them on either Census but a William Kirk in Bosnetstown, Kilfinane does appear on the records.

Is it possible that they be using the name Quirk(e) instead?

They might have been dead by 1901, but it would surprising that someone 20 years ago would have remember the name.

On Ancestry, there is a record for Timothy McGrath on board the above ship under "Aliens held for special Enquiry".  Can anyone help with deciphering the record?

This record does not seem to on the EllisIsland site.

Hello,

Can I ask for assistance here regarding understanding the contents of a deed dated 1823 in Ireland or should I post it elsewhere.

The text was clearly legible so there are not too many deciphering problems, I think.  I have already typed it out with some ** for the unknown words.
