Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Uncle Thomas Adams as an Infant

I wonder if one of the restorers would be willing to colourize this photo of my uncle as an infant.  This photo has just come into my possession, and the image I am sending is the best that I can do with my old computer.

I would be grateful for any help you can give.

Technical Help / my hp laptop has suddenly stopped.

My laptop has suddenly stopped working.  When I switch it on all I get now is the HP logo.  It does not advance to the sign in page.  It tells me to press Esc button to get the start up menu, when I do so it just says 'pause start up'  Nothing more happens. Any one please advise me on what can be done to rectify this problem.  Kind regards, B/B :-\

OOps, Problem now solved by unplugging and replugging the computer in.  Imagine that! Thanks anyway for any help you would have provided.  B/B ??? :)

I just received my fathers service record and was amazed that I got it in less than 2 months,I just had his date of birth and where he was born,so hopefully the waiting period is greatly reduced for people who are sending for their relatives,I had expected to wait for up to a year.just thought I would pass this little tid bit on.

I just received this picture of my father that was in his service record that I just received to day,It is the only picture I now have of him and never expected to have a picture of him.
I am hoping that maybe it could be restored a little as it has darkened down to a sepia colour. It would be greatly appreciated if someone would undertake this task.

Armed Forces / Northwest frontier medal

I am hoping someone who has access to any medal cards could kindly help me find Pte John Andrew Gillespie. I believe he was awarded the Northwest frontier medal and Served in the Welsh Regiment,and for a time in a Scottish regiment.he was born in 1904 in Belfast.

Armed Forces / Service records,waiting time reduced

I sent for my uncle's service record,and received them in just over 5 months {17 pages of his record}spanning his career of just under 25 years, starting in 1920 when he enlisted to the end of it in 1946.
Since then I have sent for my fathers record {about 7 weeks ago}and got a letter back a couple of weeks ago with a file number,also was enclosed a page giving me their address in case I wanted to get in touch withthem.at the bottom of the page they said there would be a 3 to 6 month waiting period.
So I guess they have shortened the waiting period. just thought I should pass this along.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight / southampton look up's 1916/17

I am trying to find out any information on an Alexander Allen and his wife Letitia {Armstrong} Adams and any family they may have had, they were born in Belfast.I believe Alexander was born about 1858.
he was bosun on the SS Taplow which sank in 1917 with all loss of life.I have seen a photo of the Merchantile Marine Monument in London. and read the small inscription about him.
I am wondering if there could be any other places in Southampton I could check out? Southampton was his last place of residence.
