Mayo / Birth Certificate Swinford, Mayo
« on: Monday 17 October 16 21:11 BST (UK)  »
I have just discovered I have a relative whose birth was registered in Swinford, Mayo - 1910 ... if I order a copy of the birth certificate will the mother's maiden name be included  -  seems strange to ask I know, but I have a niggling feeling I've read something to suggest perhaps not?

Hi all  - just wondering if there is any difference to the amount of information available to the searcher  if they use the pay as you go credit system rather than taking out a world subscription?

Yorkshire (East Riding & York) Lookup Requests / 454 Hessle Road Hull
« on: Thursday 06 October 16 05:53 BST (UK)  »
I'm looking for information on 454 Hessle Road - not sure how the numbers ran along the road.  My g-gran give this address on her 1902 marriage cert.  She had previously lived down Campbell Street.  Her surname was Fox.  Wondering if this was a business or a house?  Trying to get a mental fix - nearer to St Georges Road or  Boulevard?

Thank you.

Hi

I'm having a bit of trouble reading the first two words   -  looks like Pacoinolor Alavy or Haxy  ???
the third words is Phthisis (TB) and I'm wondering if the first two words are some sort of general term used in relation to TB?

Has anyone seen this before and knows what it means?    1889 Hull certificate

The Common Room / SS Tyne Queen
« on: Friday 20 July 12 21:34 BST (UK)  »
Hi all

On the 8th Dec 1887 the SS Tyne Queen sailed from the Tyne for Denmark.  She was caught up in a violent gale and foundered on 10th Dec 70 miles off coast of Denmark.

1 able seaman (Yates) lost overboard and three others injured including 2nd mate.

I’m looking for help with the crew names, especially interested in that of the master and officers.

She was registered in Hull and was owned by George Beaforth Newton (the younger)
of Prince’s Dock Side.

There was a formal investigation at Royal Courts of Justice on the 10th Jan 1888 regarding her foundering (No 3458).
