Canada / Death certificate for death at sea

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me if and where I may be able to find a death certificate for my great-grandfather, who died at sea aboard a Canadian ocean liner. Here is what I know so far:
His name was Ervin Oscar Allen. He was born July 21, 1887 in Centralia, Nemaha County, Kansas, USA and died on January 19, 1942 aboard the S.S. Lady Hawkins. He was married to Bertha Jane Hale, but she passed away in 1927; they had five children.
The Lady Hawkins was en route from Nova Scotia to Bermuda, with a stop in Boston, Massachusetts, USA on the way. it was torpedoed by a German U-boat off the coast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, USA. The Lady Hawkins was a Canadian ocean liner, captained by H. Griffin.
