my ancester john hornby born 1824 barmston yorkshire is listed in the 1871 cenus in kilham yorkshire with a family of 4 , how can i go about finding the birth records of the head of the family to see who his parents where and what his wife mary's maiden name was before marriage , she was born in armagh . i know john hornby age 47 served in the 28th foot and i have his 4 page papers which give very little information and his son john age 10 joined the 49th brigade in fermoy and i have his papers and i know nearly all about him but thats as far as i can get , any help from the more experienced members as i have hit a brick wall /

i am trying to research my great uncle Lionel penton hornby and his sister Coral mavis hornby , i have traced lionel back to india where he was born and found his grand parents as well and a grave photo of his father ! he was born india 4th jan 1925 and died 1972 with the death registered 1973

as to his sister coral mavis i cant find a thing , she lived in clenchwarton kings lynn ?

my great grandfather worked as a gardener at a place called Ardcairn lodge Ballintemple co,cork in the early 1900's .

what was Ardcairn lodge ?
who owned it ?
what happened to it ?
any records or pictures available ?
