Surrey / Request for help at Runnymede and Brookwood Memorials
« on: Wednesday 21 March 18 11:58 GMT (UK)  »
Does anyone live, or travel, anywhere near the Runnymede Memorial, who would be willing to take some photographs of names on it? Well, 46 to be precise. I am working on a project of Remembrance for the men and women of my local towns of Grimsby and Cleethorpes who died in WW2.

Due to the design of the Memorial, should you wish to take up this arduous task, it would be advantageous to have a VERY good zoom on your camera and/or very high resolution, which makes it easier to edit, if need be.

I also have 2 names on Brookwood Memorial, which should be easier to take,

fingers crossed

Do any of the RootsWeb members live, or travel, near to Milton of Buchanan in Stirlingshire?

I am working on a project of Remembrance for men from my local towns of Grimsby and Cleethorpes. One of my men is buried in Buchanan Churchyard Extension, by the name of Leslie Porter. He died in 1941 whilst serving with the Royal Army Medical Corps.

Would it be possible for someone take a high resolution photograph of his headstone, please?

Tony

I am trying to locate the burial plot of Eva May Green who died 10/06/1896 aged just 1 year old. I have located other members of her family who are buried there, but they all have a headstone/M.I. which I have located, but I have had real difficulties tracking little Eva May's final resting place.

I know that many babies were buried in pauper's graves or in the graves of other families, but she should still have a plot number somewhere.

All help appreciated.

Could anybody help with a look up to try and find the official plot number from the burial records of the Lincoln Cemeteries for an Amy Webb (age 23) who was buried on 18th June 1929. Her husbands name was Roland Webb. It is believed that she is buried in Canwick Road Cemetery (New) going on the date of her death.

I have seen mention of her on both Ancestry and FindMyPast, but even with the free trials, neither let me view her burial record, and I am unable to sign up as I don't have a debit/credit card.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
