Wexford / Shudall Redmond families 1800-1850
« on: Saturday 02 July 05 01:55 BST (UK)  »
Hi all,

a friend recommended this site - here goes..

I'm researching John Loftus Shudall born circa 1790 - Wexford? and Ann Redmond born circa 1800 - they married circa 1830.

It appears John died prior to 1850 and Ann Shudall nee Redmond came to Australia with several of her children in the early-mid 1850's - settling in Melbourne.

thanks to everybody

Robert

Cornwall / GRAMPOUND:Nancarrow and Millett families
« on: Saturday 02 July 05 01:15 BST (UK)  »
Hello all,

a friend recommended this site - so I thought I'd give it a go..

some of my ancestors were from Grampound - maybe some of you can help out or share some info?

Peter Millett (born circa 1803) married Mary Johns (born circa 1803) in about 1830 and settled in Grampound.

They had a number of children including Caroline, Grace, Elizabeth and Susan.

Susan came to Australia in about 1855 and settled in Maryborough Victoria. Elizabeth married a John Nancarrow and settled in Grampound where they had a number of children.

Grace married a Samuel Lucas Campion and was in Asutralia in the mid 1850's.

Caroline married a William Smith and had a number of children.

Anybody know whether Grampound has an historical society?

Anybody know where the cemetery is that would have taken Grampound dead people?

The Millett family was for a time associated with maintenance of the toll road out of Grampound.

Members of the Nancarrow family were employed in Grampound's tanning industries.

thanks all
