Lancashire / WILLIAMS, McKAY & LIVESEY Liverpool
« on: Saturday 02 July 05 23:38 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find the parents of Mary WILLIAMS who I know married in St Peter's, Liverpool to George MCKAY on 5 Sept 1834. The marriage register does not give parents names...so I thought I would look for her sister, Jane WILLIAMS who was married to Joseph LIVESEY (described as the pioneer advocate of teetotalism in England) on 30 May 1815 in St Peter's, Liverpool also. The IGI entry for this does not give parents names either.
I believe Mary was born about 1811 and Jane about 1794.
As there is a strong use of the first name Griffith in the family I thought that their father may have been a Griffith WILLIAMS, but this is just a guess.
I would appreciate any suggestions and help in trying to find out the WILLIAM's girls' parents names.
Thankyou
Gwen

Lancashire Lookup Requests / 1841 Census Ashton Under Lyne- BRADDOCK
« on: Saturday 02 July 05 23:24 BST (UK)  »
I'd really appreciate a lookup for
John BRADDOCK with his wife Emma and 4 sons - John, Edward, Arthur and George.
I believe that John had a business as a druggist at 147 Stamford St, AUL in 1841 (as found in  a trade directory) but that the family  actually lived with Emma's mother, Elizabeth HIGGINBOTTOM at Wilshaw Dale Cottage in Wilshaw.  Sorry not sure what the area was called at that time but it may have been under Wilshaw, Hurst or Smallshaw.
Thankyou
Gwen
