Dunbartonshire / james and Lily Doherty
« on: Saturday 29 December 18 22:07 GMT (UK)  »
Hi looking for information on a great gran uncle who was born in Derry City in 1882. I believe that he was married in Dublin in 1919 to a Lily Roberts and was serving in the British Army. He moved with his wife to Dunbarton Scotland. I think he passed away in or near Dunbarton in 1958. My aunt remembers as a young girl going to stay with them and another aunt was over for her honeymoon. I think they had a daughter whom was also called Lily.

Any help would be gratefully received

Hi I came across this document about the last will and testament of my relation Bridget Sweeney. It states that "that the deceased let no surviving widow". Widow is scored out and it is changed to no husband, Does this mean that Bridget was separated and her husband was still alive.

Ireland / Claremount House
« on: Friday 10 June 16 20:28 BST (UK)  »
Hi I have nearly completed my family tree and I feel I have traced all the family I can. I am aware that at one stage my GG grandfather was a man of some wealth and built a large family home in Donegal on his return from Glasgow. The house is still standing and still belongs to far out relations but I would now like to find out the history of the house. When was it built?, who built it?, who owned the land before my family purchased it. I think the house may have been built around the 1880s but not sure. Any advice would be gratefully received.
