Yorkshire (West Riding) Lookup Requests / Arksey Baptism lookup request
« on: Tuesday 10 November 09 17:43 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
I would be obliged if anyone could help me with a Arksey Baptism lookup. I am hoping to find a Kathleen Bennett baptised in Feb 1915. Kathleen was born in Sheffield on 10 Jan 1915, but it is important to me to establish whether or not she was baptised in Arksey.

regards

Mike

Yorkshire (North Riding) / 1841 census-Pateley Bridge & Bewerley
« on: Thursday 23 August 07 18:41 BST (UK)  »
Could anyone tell me the name of the civil parish that would have included Pateley Bridge and Bewerley in the 1841 census.
I am searching for a James Mackwell, b.1833 but he does not appear in the index on Ancestry so I thought I would examine the images - hence the question about which parish to search.

Australia / SS. Waroonga & SS. Maranoa
« on: Tuesday 17 July 07 19:01 BST (UK)  »
I am hoping that someone can help me with information from the passenger lists of these vessels. I understand that the relevent microfiche are available at the LDS Family History Centre at Bundaberg, Queensland, the Queensland State Archives in Runcorn, Brisbane, and also the Commonwealth Archives, Cannon Hill, Brisbane.
The SS Waroonga left London on 12 Jan 1888, arriving in Brisbane around 13 March 1888. Due to an outbreak of disease on board the Waroonga some passengers were quarantined (possibly on Curtis Island) and these passengers were eventually landed from the SS Maranoa.
The microfiche numbers are M1703 and M1709 for the Waroonga, and M1710 for the Maranoa.
The passenger I am interested in is Doctor John Cremonini who I believe was one of the quarantined passengers who landed from the Maranoa. I believe he was accompanied by his wife Emily.
I would be most grateful for any information from the passenger lists and also for any other information relating to the quarantining of the passengers on Curtis Island.
Thanks in anticipation.

Wiltshire Lookup Requests / Winsley Parish - James KITTLETY
« on: Thursday 21 June 07 15:19 BST (UK)  »
I would be very grateful for any information about James Kittlety who was born c1821 in the parish of Winsley. When he married he gave his father's name as John Dillon so I assume James' mother was a Kittlety.
All help or advice would be appreciated.

New Zealand Completed Requests / Birth lookup - Orewa area
« on: Thursday 01 March 07 18:49 GMT (UK)  »
Francis Graham Cremonini married Mary Tuohey in 1936 - probably in Orewa.

In 1952 Francis married for a second time - Annie Marian Whiteway.

I would love to know if there were any children from either marriage - can anyone help?

Francis died in Orewa in 1997, Annie in 1996.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

The Common Room / WW2 Civilian casualties
« on: Sunday 04 February 07 13:35 GMT (UK)  »
Can anyone enlighten me as to how civilian casualties (deaths) were recorded during WW2.

My reason for asking is that I have 2 relatives who are recorded in family records as dying on the same day in 1941 but whose names do not appear in the GRO index nor in the CWG database. I suspect that they were killed in London during the blitz but cannot comfirm this.

« on: Sunday 17 September 06 17:18 BST (UK)  »
Could anyone do a lookup in the 1851 and/or 1861 census for a John Cremonini, b.1816. In the 1841 census he is shown at Drainie.
Any information would be appreciated.
