« on: Tuesday 06 November 12 10:23 GMT (UK)  »
..died in 1741 in Minstead, Hampshire. He was a shoemaker originally from the Channel Islands, married Catherine Purkes in Minstead 1701, so am guessing that he was born in the Channel Islands in around 1680. Had no luck with the name Joseph Cabot but a lot of other Cabot's around, can anybody help with birth  or family details, thank you

Occupation Interests / Understanding Merchant Navy ticket Michael Barry number 19,084
« on: Thursday 25 October 12 11:43 BST (UK)  »
Hello there,

I am looking to find out what the numbers mean in the year columns for the record of Michael Barry, 19084. They must be various voyages, but when I have seen these records before, they usually feature the name of a ship. Any help gratefully received. Apologies if very difficult to read, I have had to change the resolution to make it small enough to add  :)

Hi I'm looking for the marriage details of the above so that I can buy the cert. They lived in Deptford St Paul in 1851 (mis-spelled surname) with sons John and William aged 2 and 3. Got everything covered from there forward, but looking to prove Elizabeth's surname, all that I know is that she was from Chatham, Kent, and confirm that Michael's father is John Barry from Ireland who he lived with in Dock Street Deptford at the time of the 1841 census. He was 16 at the time (approximately, I know at the 1841 census ages were rounded up and down) Can't seem to get anything that looks right from freeBMD. At that time they might have been Catholics but I thought that post 1837 everything had to be decalred centrally too. V Frustrating so grateful for any help (first post so apologies if not in the right place etc)
