 My granddaughter is learning about the war in school ,so trying to find information about my uncle griff who was born on 4/10/1911 ,he fought in the second world war got injured by shrapnel ,been told it happened in Italy ,he died in Rookwood hospital on 15/8/1953 through injuries ,can't find where he got injured please can anyone help please   thank you    Marion

I don't know know if this is the right forum ,maybe someone can help ,my daughters friend's father was adopted he has died and she wants to try and find any of  his biological family ,he would be 51 now ,she has been told that his biological mother was in the army and she put him up for adoption to further her career also the father was Italian whether he was in the army or she was stationed in Italy she does'nt know,his adopted mother and father are also dead is there anyway she could find anything about her biological family  ..........hope someone can help in some way ........Marion

Can someone please help me find  the family of Bridget Leahy born Cardiff 1874 ,I can find them on the 1881 census ,but not on any earlier ones ,I'm trying to find out who her dad was ,as her mother is a widow on the 1881 census ,I've tried a variety of different ways of spelling Leahy but have failed miserably , maybe a fresh pair of eyes can find them ,

Does anyone else find it strange how things work out sometimes ,my mother died on the 27th of december ,and got buried on 1st January ,in 1968 ,my father died on the 19 th of december and got buried ,on the 23rd of December,I have 2 brothers and 1 sister ,I am the eldest ,the night my father died my youngest brother's wife gave birth to a baby boy within an hour of my dad dying ,since then I've  had 2 children ,one on the 13th dec and one on the 31st ,my middle brother has had 2 born on the 23rd ,different years and my sister had one on the 15th of december, the boy that was born the night my father died had a son on the 22nd and another  nephew had a boy on the 27th of december ,we have had 8 children born between 13th dec and the 31st ,we are only 4 children ,what are the odds of that happening , sometimes fact is stranger than fiction
