Agnes Shearer is my mother in law and the biggest mystery of our family.  She has two sisters Lizzie and Mary.  The problem was known as Shearer but her father's name was Russell. I have searched both surnames.  She never married.  I have searched thro her sister's as well.  She said she was born on 16/12/02 but her medical card said it was 6/12/02.  We thought she was born in Blantyre and later lived in Bathgate but I now think she was born elsewhere.  She lived in Wales during the war when my husband was a little lad.  She was 42/43 he was born in Penbrooke so he doesn't remember anything about his granny. He just seen her in hospital when he was a child. If I could be sure what her surname really was or did she change it because she was afraid of the father taking the her son. We just presumed the family name was Shearer.  Anybody got any ideas please.  Thank you if you even look at this. xxx

I've been trying to find my gt gt grandfather James Wilson's death record. He returned to Carlow from India  were he died and is buried. I've checked the graveyards but couldn't find him. I don't know the date of his death but he was born in 1821 and fought in the Indian Mutiny.  Not much information but can anybody help please. xxx
